The Federation of Jewish Communities of Romania organized, in cooperation with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and the Ministries of Justice, an official commemoration event on 25 January 2022. It marked both the Bucharest Pogrom and the 27th of January. The ceremony included the laying of wreaths, speeches and a screening of a movie on the Odessa massacre. It was recorded and the recording is available on the Facebook page Federatia Comunitatilor Evreiesti din Romania. The ceremony was attended by high levels officials of Romania, starting with the President of Romania, the Prime-minister, the president of the Chamber of Deputies, the Deputy Prime-minister, several ministers of the Government, diplomatic corps accredited in Bucharest, representatives of religious denominations. The hybrid format of the event allowed for the participation by videoconference of the World Jewish Congress, the European Jewish Congress, the Conference of European Rabbis, members of Jewish communities in Europe.
