An Interfaith Holocaust Commemoration Featuring Dr. Lauren Apter Bairnsfather


An interfaith Holocaust commemoration co-sponsored by Gumberg Library and the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh will take place online on Wednesday January 26 at 6:30 p.m. Students from the Duquesne Hillel Jewish Students Organization will take part along with Dr. Lauren Apter Bairnsfather, Director of the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh, Rabbi Hazzan Jeffrey Myers of Tree of Life, and Rev. Bill Christy, University Chaplain and Director of Campus Ministry.

Pittsburgh archivist Dr. David Rosenberg will present The Making of 'Who is a Jew?': A Tale of Two Cities and the Challenges of Bringing a Troubling Holocaust History Home. Dr. Rosenberg is the recipient of the Medal of Honor from the City of Amiens for his outstanding work on the history of the city and region.
