Every year since 2004, IDES [the Information and Documentation Center] of The Swiss Conference of Cantonal Ministers of Education compiles a dossier for the "Day of Remembrance" to provide useful information, publications and activities for commemorating the Holocaust and other crimes against humanity in schools. It aims to support teachers in commemorating the Holocaust Remembrance Day in the classroom by providing them with suggestions and enabling them access to further teaching materials to promote human rights, tolerance and dialogue. The dossier contains references to background information, a list of information platforms, printed and multimedia materials that can be used directly in the classroom, educational activities as well as further training for teachers on the subject.
